We are an independent dance instruction company focusing on both the physical and emotional well-being of students through dance and movement.

Liza Matton Mercy is an experienced instructor, choreographer, mother who is inspired by the creativity and emotional connection dance can have on the individual.

Liza received her Bachelors Degree in Psychology in 2004.  She has worked with children of all ages as a childcare provider, dance teacher and nanny for over ten years. She has taken an array of dance classes through Jonnson State College and has volunteered her time as the Grand Isle School's choreographer through a variety of school plays that have been successfully put on for the past four years. Liza has volunteerd her time and dance background, to what many of you know as the Islands Theater, "The Village Players." She is certified in the Latin dance Aerobics known as Zumba and Zumbatomics for kids. She has taught and worked with local studios in Vermont and is excited to be now serving the Islands for their dance needs.

Welcome Emily Alger to the Dance in the Isle family. Emily is from the Islands and will be sharing her 15 years of ballet training by teaching two classes specializing in ballet technique, including Barre work, across the floor exercises and choreography.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be part of a dance team? I have a treat for anyone taking this camp. I have a Dance Team State Championship Coach that is going to show you what it takes to be on top, work as a team to learn showmanship and team unison all while perfecting the art of choreography in Hip Hop, Jazz and of course Pom. this class also includes how to learn leaps turns, kicks and more! This is one camp you dont want to miss!

The Whiz of a funky town named Oz

Ages:7-12

Time: 9am- Noon

Dates: July 18th-22nd

This is going to be a modern day version of "The Wizard Of OZ" with a twist. Kids in this camp will dance and act through a series of scenes that will allow them to dig into there creative selves in order to find there inner Dorothy, Tin Man, and not so Cowardley Lion. This week will be filled with some acting, lots of dancing and some set and background building. The last class will include a showcase and pizza party!

This is a great camp that will allow your child to sample a variety of dance genres! Styles include, Theater Jazz, Modern Jazz, Hip Hop, Lyrical and even tap (tap shoes welcome but not Required) Crafts, and games included in this camp.
